Q. Hopefully you can give me a few ideas for some all-season tires for my 2008 Honda Fit. The size of P175/65R14 limits my choices. I do not need anything based on high performance. Just a good mix of mileage and handling in an all-seasons tire. Also, do you have any winter tires that you recommend? I am currently using the Pirelli Winter Carving tires.
A. There are three tires I like in your size (in order), the new Bridgestone Ecopia, the Yokohama Touring-S, and the General Tire Altimax RT.
The Ecopia is a new tire, designed to deliver excellent fuel economy. The Yoko Touring is also a fuel saver. The Altimax is being phased out and replaced by the G-Max, so it may no longer be available.
These are all touring type tires. There are higher grip level tires but they come at a premium in price and ride quality. These three tires would make a good fit. They all offer comfortable and long-lasting rides.
