Eccoci di nuovo qui a parlare di una supercar che qualche laboratorio di tuning molto audace (ma non lo sono tutti in fondo?) ha deciso di modificare per renderla ancora più estrema ed esaltante che mai. Stiamo parlando della Ford Mustang boss 302 e il laboratorio in questione è l’americano Heins Motorsports. La muscle car della casa statunitense è già estrema per sua stessa natura, oltre che immediatamente riconoscibile ad una sola occhiata, ma qui siamo davvero un passo avanti. I ragazzi di Heins hanno aggiunto all’esterno numerosi pannelli, compresa la fascia frontale, un nuovo cofano e uno spoiler posteriore. Il tutto è stato poi decorato con un particolare colore Grigio Sport Classic, che sicuramente dona un aspetto leggermente vintage all’intera struttura. Non sono mancate aggiunte come le nuove molle da competizione e sospensioni regolabili. Il tutto è sorretto su un set di cerchi in lega da 18 pollici Forgeline, adatti per i pneumatici Nitto NT01.

They competed in the fastest D. O. T. tire class using Nitto NT01 tires. After the restart, the team is starting to catch up to the first-place team. Even though the team had a shaky start, the race was one of the closest on record. Nitto Tire and Team Achilles Motorsports recently raced in the world's longest endurance race: 25 Hours of Thunderhill. Early in the race the team was forced to pit and make needed repairs, which put them four laps down. This is the second fastest class behind the Unlimited class that uses race slicks. The fog forced officials to stop the race for over 11 hours. Nitto created a new website that documents the race as it unfolded.
